- Brakes and handbrake
- Steering and suspension
- Tyres, wheels and tread depth
- Headlights, indicators and all lights
- Seats, seatbelts and restraints
- Windscreen, wipers and mirrors
- Body, chassis and rust in structural areas
- Exhaust, oil leaks and smoke
- Horn, speedometer and warning lights
- VIN and number plates
Common reasons cars fail
Worn tyres, blown bulbs, cracked windscreens, worn brakes and warning lights left on are the usual ones. Check those first and you'll save yourself a return trip.
